The Ohio Benefits Cooperative (OBC) is a not-for-profit partnership of government and public entities throughout Ohio that have pooled resources to help control rapidly escalating benefit costs. Established in 1994, the OBC provides group medical, dental, life, and AD&D for members and their employees. Municipalities, counties, townships, special districts and school districts are all eligible for membership in the OBC. The OBC philosophy of “strength in numbers” has resulted in a stable, comprehensive, and affordable benefit package that comes with an established benefits cooperative. The OBC capitalizes on the pooled purchasing power of members to provide the best economic package for employers and taxpayers.
